I'm a PhD student at Northwestern in the Computer Science and Learning Sciences Program, advised by Professors Eleanor O'Rourke and Michael Horn. My research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction, learning sciences, and design.

My research is currently centered around understanding the connection between metacognition, emotion, and motivation in introductory computing education, as well as building interventions to support students in overcoming negative emotional and metacognitive experiences while programming. Additionally, I'm interested in exploring creative and multimedia approaches in STEM education.

Prior to starting at Northwestern, I graduated with a B.S. in Interactive Media Arts and a minor in Computer Science from New York University, Shanghai. I received my master's in Educational Technology and Applied Learning Sciences through the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
